Our technologies

Extruded

At CTLpack we use extrusion technology to manufacture plastic tubes for cosmetics, pharmaceutical products and food. We transform polyethylene (PE) granules into perfectly moulded tubes, ready for any application. Our tubes are enriched with attractive decorations thanks to flexographic, silk-screen, dry offset and/or hot stamping printing, taking the tube to a higher level.

We offer single-layer and multi-layer options, where we combine high-quality polymers, including an Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol (EVOH) barrier layer for optimal protection. In addition, we are committed to sustainability with materials such as post-consumer recycled (PCR) and polymers obtained from sugar cane.

Our technologies

Injected

In-mold labeling (IML) integrates decorative labels into the injection molding process of the thermoplastic material. This results in a complete fusion of the label with the packaging, forming a single piece ideal for cosmetics and pharmaceutical products. IML labels are printed using flexography or digital printing with striking, high-quality decorations for a flawless and long-lasting appearance. In addition, we can add hot or cold stamping to the decoration.

A significant advantage of IML is that both the label and the packaging are made of polypropylene (PP), making the product 100% recyclable and combinable with post-consumer recycled materials (PCR).

Our technologies

Laminated

The laminated tube combines the best of aluminium and plastic, ideal for cosmetics, pharmacy and food. It is decorated with high-quality flexography and/or cold stamping, standing out on any shelf. Made with a longitudinally welded polyethylene (PE) sheet, it guarantees superior protection with multiple layers, including a barrier layer.

At CTLpack we have two types of laminated tube: the ABL Tube, with an aluminium layer that provides high protection for high-quality pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, and the PBL Tube, made entirely of plastic with an Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol (EVOH) barrier that prolongs the shelf life of the contents. This technology ensures that your products stay fresh and protected.

Sustainable Products

Our solutions are based on the fundamental principles to promote the circular economy and a more sustainable system: we reduce, by decreasing plastic material; we use recycled materials, giving a second life to discarded materials; and we promote recyclability, making our packaging increasingly recyclable. Furthermore, our ECO-f tubes and tubes with Minitop caps, both 35 mm in diameter and with polyethylene caps, have achieved the highest rating (CLASS A) from Recyclass certification in terms of recyclability.

Effortless recyclability

Monomaterial injected tube with 100% PP material in skirt, label, head and cap, which facilitates its recyclability up to 99%, according to the German Cyclos Institute (Certificate No. 2319-2020-001529)

Increase its sustainability by adding post-consumer recycled polypropylene (PCR only, FDA NOL).

PE Green

Renewable materials for a cleaner future

Our Green tube is made from material derived from sugar cane grown in Brazil, in controlled areas and far from the Amazon rainforest. Their plantations capture CO2, reducing greenhouse gas emissions at source.

This bio-based material is formed by converting sugar cane ethanol into ethylene, which is then polymerized into food-safe polyethylene. Its components are 100% recyclable (skirt and head).

PP-PCR

Turning waste into resources

Post-consumer recycled polyethylene comes from plastic packaging that comes into contact with food. By reintroducing used plastic into the production chain, we promote the circular economy. This material is mechanically recycled.

Our skirt contains up to 50% PE-PCR and the head up to 75%. In addition, we offer the option of 100% PP-PCR caps.

ECO-f

Reduction of up to 28% of plastic

Available in co-extruded tube, this packaging allows a reduction in plastic of up to 28% compared to other tubes with similar characteristics. Thanks to the combination of the lightweight Minitop cap and the reduction in thickness in the skirt (0.4 mm), it is the ideal choice for large format tubes. For diameters of 35, 40 and 50 mm. (from 40 ml to 250 ml).
Achieve greater sustainability with bio-based or PCR materials in the skirt and head.
In addition, the Minitop cap is available in polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE). Give it extra security by adding non-oriented Plastiband (tamper-proof).

Our Mass Balance post-consumer chemically recycled polyethylene promotes the circular economy thanks to the purchase of certified raw materials.

The skirt of this tube contains up to 100% PE-PCR Mass Balance and the head up to 100% PE-PCR Mass Balance. You can also get a cap up to 100% PP-PCR Mass Balance.

NIR Detectable

Sustainable dye

With the new black dye without carbon black, we help plastic materials to be correctly identified and sorted on recycling lines. These dyes offer good opacity, while maintaining the same printing characteristics as traditional black.

Valid for polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) pipes and also for caps.
