- Only 1% of companies achieve the score necessary to receive this recognition.
- The EcoVadis platform evaluates companies' performance in sustainability and CSR.
CTLpack has earned the EcoVadis certification in the Platinum category, the highest rating, granted only to 1% of companies in the plastics sector, assessed globally, for their work in corporate social responsibility. Since 2017, EcoVadis has certified the work of CTLpack Vitoria and CTLpack Vichy, with the company previously receiving the Gold medal in prior years.
This platform evaluates companies' sustainability performance in the categories of "Environment," "Labor Practices and Human Rights," "Ethics," and "Sustainable Procurement." With a score of 78/100, CTLpack exceeds the average score of companies evaluated in all four areas.
Furthermore, CTLpack has maintained its environmental score, despite the increased requirements from EcoVadis, standing out in sustainable solutions such as reducing product weight, using bio-based and PCR materials, and developing monomaterial, fully recyclable tubes.
For Luis Izco, CEO of the group, "For more than fifteen years, commitment to sustainability and socially responsible activity have been priorities for CTLpack, and recognitions like this validate our work. This medal is the result of our team's constant effort and represents a guarantee of business quality. We are very proud to be on the same level as leading global corporations."
Headquartered in France, EcoVadis is the only universal provider of sustainability ratings. Through its exclusive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment methodology, it evaluates the practices of over 75,000 companies in more than 160 countries.
The methodology applies seven management indicators based on 21 sustainability criteria focused on the four assessment areas. It is based on key standards, such as those of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), the UN Global Compact, and the ISO 26000 standard, and is overseen by an international scientific committee. It evaluates performance by assessing policies, actions, and results, as well as input from third-party professionals and external stakeholders.
